Child Safeguarding

Child Safeguarding is accorded the highest priority in GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai. Every action that we take has the child’s wellbeing at the core and is everyone’s responsibility. It is aimed at protecting children from any kind of abuse or maltreatment as well as harm to their overall health and wellbeing. In the last Safeguarding Audit conducted by GEMS in March 2023, it was observed that “OOD is the largest campus in the GEMS group, having over 10,000 students… There are strong pastoral systems in place to ensure the safety of students and staff. Child protection procedures and staff training are evident and compliant. There are consistent reminders of safeguarding. Where there are high level concerns, the school takes full advantage of the support of the Central Safeguarding team.”
