Ms. Jayasree Jayachandran
Head of Primary
Ms. Jayasree Jayachandran, the Head of Primary School has completed 21 glorious years of service at GEMS OOD. She started her career as a Primary school teacher in 1998. Climbing up the rungs of leadership, she became Educational Supervisor in 2012 and in 2015 was appointed as the Head of the Primary Section.
An experienced, passionate and committed educator, Jayasree has grown with the institution. She currently leads 108 sections of Primary classes with a huge team of teachers and eight supervisors. A recipient of the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in the 2008 and 2012, she believes in the holistic development of her students and is committed to developing 21st century skills among Primary students. She is also the school coordinator for the parent committee focus group (Our Own Voice) and International Benchmark Assessments – ASSET, TIMSS and PIRLS.
