Mr. Thomas Mathew

Mr. Thomas Mathew was appointed the Executive Principal of the GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai in 2014. Prior to that, he had donned the mantle as Principal of Our Own English High School, Sharjah – Boys for 7 years. Before starting his career with the GEMS group, Mr. Thomas had served as the founder Principal of the Air Force Vidya Bharati School. Under his highly skilled, student-focused educational leadership, the school was adjudged the best Air Force School for 2 consecutive years. Subsequently, he was the Principal of the Hamdard Public School, a day-boarding institution in New Delhi.

Mr. Thomas has served on the CBSE panel of Principals for School Affiliation. He has been honored with the CBSE Teacher Award in 2008 and the National Teacher Award in 2015 in recognition of his meritorious contribution to Indian Education. He is known for his intrinsically driven work ethic and the passion to make a difference through outstanding practices in education.
